Our apartments were named after various influential people involved in the development of the Repulse Bay area. Mr. James Taggart was the Manager of the Hong Kong Hotel in the early part of the century whose foresight and courage ensured the development of The Repulse Bay Hotel.

Mr. J. Scott Harston was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Hotel Company.

In 1932 a famous rose expert Mr A. A. Nicholson stayed at the hotel pending the arrival of 2000 rose bushes to be planted in the gardens around the hotel.
